Reality: If you have ever lived in Jamaica at anytime of your life, you have benefitted directly or indirectly from the drug trade. Jamaica's main foreign exchange earner is drugs, scamming, remittance, tourism, agriculture, bauxite and other lesser resources. Jamaica also has the largest English speaking port in the Caribbean strategically located along the international Trade route from Venezuela and other South American countries, to the Caribbean and then to the United States, We can pretend to be holier and better than the people who directly push the drugs, or we can stop the denial and the hypocrisy and face facts. Did the US steal Venezuela's largest ships only because of oil? Were their drugs on the ship ? Did the US wage war against Venezuela to steal their oil or to control their drug trade? Can the US or any one of the major world powers like Europe, Russia, China gain complete control of the Caribbean trade route? Until we can stop the denial and face the truth, it will be hard for us to take control of a corrupt Jamaican government and stop Jamaica's involvement in the International Drug trade. Will that ever be possible?
