Correct the problem at the root

In the following video, this young man is speaking to his teacher in a disrespectful manner, threatening to rob and kill her

I dont agree with using guns as a means to discipline children. Arming teachers with guns is not going to solve this problem. These are the type of kids that become "vipers" as they are now described. This is a matter for a state of emergency. Where are his parents? I need to have a word with them. He needs some serious discipline. Kids like that need correction. If he is not getting it at home, he can't be allowed to terrorize teachers like that. He needs to be placed in a program developed to teach him discipline, learn morals, respect and values and provide guidance for his life. These things should be learned at home, but obviously he wasn't taught that at home. Where did he learn that it is OK to speak to his teacher like that without fear of the consequences?  That is the problem with kids in Jamaica. This problem must be corrected at the root.

Calabar dismisses over 30 boys

http://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/lead-stories/20180830/barred-calabar-students-less-60-cent-average-will-be-barred-entering

I know many people won't agree with me but, when you gave a school that is going to dismiss over 30 boys because they didnt meet the grade, it sounds to me more like the school has failed to find ways to educate these boys.  And if the school can't find ways to educate over 30 boys and their only solution is to dismiss these boys, then it is time for that principal to go. Basically what he is saying is that he has reached his limit and he is no longer fit for the job and it is time for a new principal with fresh , new, creative ideas to step up to educate the boys and arm them with tools for this modern time we are living in. The old methods of teaching are not working. Watch and see if this school doesn't change their way of teaching, they are on their way down. And for those people who are comparing Calabar's standards with UWI, lately UWI has to advertise to get new students. Students are leaving and going to UTECH, NCU and other colleges.  Students have choices nowadays. They don't have to subscribe to archaic systems of education anymore. #staywoke
